What a busy day. So busy and
delightful that the next three pages are dedicated to today. In the
morning we were free to explore Aeroskobing, the one town on Aero, or
to bike around the island.
We all met at noon to explore the island
by bus. For lunch we stopped at the Dunkar Kro to enjoy our
first Swedish smorgasbord.
The interior of this 12th Century
Church, Bregninge, is still painted the way it was 900 years ago. The
hanging ship was for the safety of those who went to sea.

the beach looking for flint.
Next we visited a 6000 year old early-Neolithic burial place
called Langdysse (Long Dolmen) Tingstedet. As a holy place, it
predates Christianity by 4000 years. Lisa and Sonja "volunteered" to
enter.
