Day 2 ( Wednesday, May 22nd) Old friends, new friends, a doctor, and more of Copenhagen. |
| Hans was finally able to see a local doctor, offices were closed until today. Quite an experience trying out socialized medicine ... very efficient, very inexpensive and very helpful. Now armed with antibiotics we began to feel optimistic about continuing on the tour. We finished the day with a fun dinner at Det Lille Apotek (the little apothecary.) Their specialty was "Stone Beef". Each person was given a scalding hot lava rock and a slab of raw steak The steak was cooked just by flipping it over a few times ... who would have dreamed ... | |||

Our first dream came true. We were together again with many of the friends we met on our first tour. They came from Washington, British Columbia, California, Massachusetts, and we're from North Carolina. | ||

What a fantasy city! From exquisite gardens to man-carrying gorillas to more pedal power than one can imagine (picture bicycle traffic jams) ... and the people ... WOW |
