 Norway

Day 14 (Monday, June 3rd) Another great day in Oslo.
We walked to the waterfront to take the boat across the harbor to Bygdoy peninsula to see the Kon-Tiki and Ra II.  While waiting, Sonja and Lisa asked us to pose for a group picture.

The Ra II (left) crossed the Atlantic to prove it could be done.  Thor Hyerdahl (with his crew) also crossed the Pacific on a balsa raft (the Kon-Tiki) for the same reason.

For the rest of the day we're on our own to explore.  We ran into Fred, Irv, Mardi, and Mary enjoying a moment overlooking the water.

Later we caught up with Jack and Shan and toured the incredible City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize is presented.

Some of us got together for dinner at the delightful Pasta Factory.  What a grand time!  Lots of positive interaction with the restaurant owner and staff.  We left happy, but then ... more hotel adventure ...

When we returned to our hotel a fire alarm was in full swing ... everyone had to evacuate but no one seemed to know why (other than the alarm was very loud).  The result; less dreamtime but instead we got to listen to Mac play the piano in the hotel lobby ... not too shabby.
