Even as we met everyone for the first time we learned that food was a very important part of the tour.

Always an early concern in a trip are the hotels.  Our home in Rouen set a high standard albeit one that was usually met throughout the trip.  Our room had a lovely courtyard view with flowers just in bloom.

Our day trip took us to Claude Monet's home in Giverny.  Although cool (negative thinkers might even say cold)  it was still beautiful.  Here George, Linda, Karen, Tom and Gloria view his famous lily pond..

Cathedrals were everywhere and each was more impressive than the last!

Our first contact with the effects of WWII.  These are the scars that were too immaterial to repair.  We saw them everywhere.  And this was damage done by the allies!
