Caunes-Minervois is not a tourist attraction.  Instead it is the real thing, a small village where tourists are guests who go elsewhere to sightsee and where a group like ours fills all the rooms in the one B&B and the one hotel.  In fact, Ludo, our driver had (got) to sleep in a private residence while the guides slept in an attic.   This place ranks up there with the best of the trip.
