Our stay in Beynac included many memorable events and plenty of sight-seeing including the Grotte de Font-de-Gaume featuring Cro-Magnon cave paintings.  But the one event that stands above others was buying food for our picnic.  A portion of which is pictured below.

Broken up into teams, our guide, William, assigned each a food group to purchase (at ETBD expense) at the open market in Sarlat.  What an incredible adventure of the senses ... glorious music, smells, color, and tastes plus the bonus of friendly people, the opportunity to spend francs, and, at last, great weather.
